Venice

The trip just keeps getting better and better. We have been in Venice for the last few days. The hotel, not the greatest place we've ever stayed but the city made up for it. Wow, what a neat place. We never really knew where we were going but it never really mattered. Around every corner was another great cafe, shop, gelato stand or snack bar. Gelato might be the greatest thing I have ever tasted.

We spent some time visiting some of the historical sights the second day we were there. We saw the Basilica and Doge's Palace. Both places were amazing. The architecture and art we saw in each place was so much better then I ever thought it would be. The historical significance of both places was overwhelming.

We spent most of the rest of our time relaxing, wandering, eating great food and drinking wine.

Now we are on our way to Milan for the futbol game.
